got a can of cypress green paint for my tow cover...


was wondering however, could i get away with this in the engine bay, pr would it be to hot for that kind of paint, its only a 1.0 12v, reason why i am asking lol!


if not, then i have read caliper paint, surely that would be okay if the green isnt..?

what are you painting, the bay, the rocker cover or the block, will be ok for everything except the block, make sure you lacquer it though

would be painting the main bit off it the rocker cover and the main bit of the engine that the rocker sites on if you get me mate?

if the spray paint wont work, surely the red caliper paint will?

that must be able to take a fair bit off heat?

I assume you mean the head, when you say "the main bit of the engine that the rocker sits on".

Dont paint that, ill will look shite. Just do the rocker cover, normal spray paint will be fine, remember to lacquer it.

primer diff from laquer?

if so just get that at halfords a take it?

a know hwta bit you mean like the bit the rocker covers, but i mean like the main bit of the engine if you get me, where the most popular bit is where the most colour would be if that makes it easier?

Yes, you need to sand the rocker cover down (Remove it from the engine first obviosuly)

Then primer it

Flat it down

Paint it

Lacquer

You could, if needed, get some high temp paint from halfords, but i'd stick to painting the rocker cover using the above method.

kool mate, see the bit i was mening where the main bit is, where the most color would be if it was painted, like where the rocker is based, but the main bit?

could that be used with spray paint?

if so, what procedure would i need for that
