You have to make a minimum of 10 chargeable calls a month though Kat.
Still a lot better than £122.50 though
Edit: You'll need to specifically ask for it though as they're supposed to have stopped doing it now so aren't advertising it anymore

Was 10 when I arranged it earlier today. I wasn't really entitled to the offer though as I'm already in a contract with them but moving so may of been because of that

Go with plusnet, it is £105 connection for a start and it is £6 a month cheaper than BT on the 12 month contract.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I got this offer the other month. Just have to make the 10 calls each month. I'm not even in the house yet so have just been ringing random numbers for free at the weekend

Or go to SKY...pay £105 for them to arrange for BT to install it then pay £0 line rental to Sky each month for free calls for the first 59 mins of each call.

When I first moved in (~18months ago) I paid the 100 odd quid for line 'fitting', and was with BT broadband for a year.
I then got a job which provided me with an additional phoneline and broadband, so cancelled my BT connection.
Work our now switching ISP and our usage limits are due to be really, really strict so we're all going back to personal connections - I phoned BT up today and they claim I'll need another engineer and £120 to get it re-enabled. That can't be right, can it? It was only 6 months ago when I had the line in place and working...

Depends what was done with the line.
If the account is cancelled they shouldn't charge, if the line was ceased they want the money again.

Aight I've dropped them an email, the lass I had on the phone didn't sound too bright so we'll see if I can get more info - at least justification for having to pay up again!

sky do a reconnection for £39 and all you have to pay them then is £11 a month for your phone + broadband
you also get free evening and weekend calls to landlines
