want to get 17's, but can only find 205 width,....will they fit ok or are they too wide. I know i need a 45 - 49 profile but just worried about the width!!

ive got 205 wide on mine but there 15" and et 39 and they rub like feck. lowered 40 mil too.

Is this beacuse of the offset of the tyre or the width of the wheel???

the offset will make wheels rub, make sure u get a 45-49 offset, but u shud av no major probs wiv 205's!

yep 205/45/17 here with no scraping at all with 4 adults in lowered 40mm

With 17's you want a PROFILE of 40 and an OFFSET of between 45 & 49

i would say 99% of people that have 17's on here use 205/40 tyres.

Yeah the mass majority of people with 17's on here run 205/40/17 with no problems.

215/40/17 are a little more difficult
