Look in your fusebox under the dash. To the left side of all the fuses you should have something that looks like the pic above, (turn the pic thru 90 degrees)
Put a paperclip across the pins marked A and B in the pic.
Turn the ignition on and watch your engine managment light. It will flash your fault codes.
Each code will be flashed 3 times.
Eg. you will get, :
Flash....(pause) Flash..Flash..(pause)
That is code 12 which is start of diagnostics, it will flash that 3 times, then move onto any other codes that have been stored. If it cycles code 12 all the time, it has not recorded the fault.
Use the chart below to find out what the codes mean.

hi ppls....wen i 1st got my corsa (about 8months ago) the orange engine management light on my dash board lighted up just once...and it never happend again so i didnt worry (especially as the car was allways runin fine, and still does)...
...but recently iv just ad a superchip and Velos torque tube fitted to my car... and the car drives great...but wen i go on the motorway/dual carrageway and im putin my foot down, sumtimes the engine management light will come on, but the car still drives absolutely fine!? and wen i turn the car off and next start it up, the light doesnt come on...this makes me think its a dodgy connection (especially as there r now quite a few wires infront of my torque tube/just over the engine where the rocker cover used to be), or maybe wen i put my foot down coz of the new chip/inlet manifold the ecu reads a fault such as its over fuelling? i dont know.
should i be worried? iv looked at the link at the top of this thread, and its a very interesting site...should i try and find out wat fault codes im getting?if so where is my thing that i put a paper clip to?is it by the fuse box inside the car?i have a 95 SRi 16v.
i just wanted to ask u guys and try and sort it out myself before askin the guy who chipped/fitted my torque tube.
plz try and help...
cheers,
james
