Just had a thought, and wondered if anyone would know the answer to this.

What would the 2010 number plates be ?

At the moment they are set as "RO55 COO", with the number representing the year, and which half of the year the car was registered. So how would next year’s number plates look ?

Ah....

So 2011 will be RO11 COO and RO61 COO....right ?

Anyone know how long this format is meant to last ?

Like the letters we had last time lasted around 15 years.

Year and year+50, as it is now.
10 and 60
11 and 61....

edit: too slow.
It'll be able to last until 2049.

There was a whole thing on the DVLA website about the format if you're interested.

We're one of the only countries to have the year the car was registered on the plate.

One reg change a year was fine. Twice is stupid, confusing and unfair.
