always had problems with my shoulders (i assume lack of muscle) as after doing any heavy lifting or crap like that they ache for a few days after, so whats the best way to gain muscle in my shoulders without making them ache and also what stretches are good for shoulders

No pain no gain!
Just get the ice pack on them afterwards as helps the healing process when you've been doing weights and so on.

Nah, it cant go in Match Day as thats just football. What we need is a forum about Sports, not really sure what we could call it.

sholder press, arnold sholder press, shrugs, upright rows....theres alot you can do. Also by training other muscle groups like upper body and back will help.

Start doing some military pressing. Clean and jerking is also an awesome exercise for overall shoulder strength.

You might not know what these mad gym names for everything are, I go to the gym and don't know the proper names.
anyway.
1 - get dumb bells and lift them both directly up sideways.
2 - get dumb bells and lift them up straight ahead of you.
3 - hold some dumb bells and move your shoulders in a circlular motion like shrugging but back to front circular motion.
4. sit up right and pick up the dumb bells above your head and touch them together.

Clean and press, Military press, Push press, Lateral raises and upright rows are all good for building shoulder size.
Do 4 or 5 sets of heavy standing military press's follow it up with some lateral raises and add this workout to the end of a chest day and it should batter your shoulders.

Shoulders is an area I've been able to develop really easily. Probably biggest part of me.

Hes got to develop that strength somehow though, standing militarys will help build his core and lower back plus his shoulders if he doesnt go too heavy and end up with his lumbar in hyperextention.
Seated overhead DB press would be better for targeting his shoulders i guess.

I always heard it was bad to do this, grinding the joints?

Yes, circular shrugs do fuck all for you other than provide your shoulders with an unnatural load plane. If you are going to do shrugs - do them with a heavy loaded olympic barbell and just shrug to your ears in a linear motion - but to be honest they are a waste of time - best exercise for your traps is the deadlift and beats shrugs to death with a stick.
