Short TAX and MOT but if it's as clean as it looks i reckon you'll do £400 on it on eBay.
Are you sure the timing belt has slipped though?

not much at all i wouldnt of though,100-200 imo as i cant really see why someone would pay anymore for a car with a dead engine.

its fairly clean, theres a couple of dinks but no major dents. not sure but mechanic says without having a major look he thinks its that, but he is checking it over now

really depends what your plans are for instance if your going to buy another B why not keep this one and get a nice engine built for it rather then buying another one which could have numerous problems you dont even know about

Tbh Shep's idea is probably actually the better route to go down because you won't have to register the new engine and all that rubbish.

yeah i suppose i could do that depending on how much it would cost. are the heads on the 1.4 sports the same? as both the engines look very similar

Worth more if you do the work.
Paying labour will make it less worthwhile.

so whats happened the timings jumped..
worst thing is its bent 16 valves, if it hasnt damaged the guides then its just new valves and gaskets and belt with (metal) tensioner. job done
