its not uncommon to get pinged for information.
PCs / Search engineers regularly ping round to find information out.

Theres not much you lot can do unless

a) his setup is so unsecure it accepts default passwords or no passwords to access his/her equipment OR you exploit something to gain access.
b) you have a large enough botnet at your disposal to smash the shit out of his connection.
