How are you paying tax for us to get drunk think the force pays for it?!
And yes, a night out with a load of police is fun, very fun!

we have our official works party in january for some reason. there will no doubt be a couple of mini do's round town during the christmas hols but i doubt i'll be going. i don't really like many people from work so i'd rather not see them socially.

Am I missing something?! Work doesn't pay a penny towards our nights out, what's the problem? I asked a simple question about pub recommendations, because of my job I shouldn't be allowed to go out?

wey no! Getting train from Newcastle for the day then coming back home on the night. Then next week is my shifts formal night at slaley hall, with rooms hired etc, bit doubt I'm going to that as it's a partners night and will be £2-300 per couple (and I'm not going gooseberry)! Then we're having a local night in Durham week before Christmas for full shift, those not going to slaley hall, beat teams etc

the bar area must be chocker on a police night out, I didnt think one officer could do anything without another 10 officers watching him

Is there any need? Have I ever made a random bitchy remark when you've made a sensible post?

You have to admit though, the police do bring it on themselves.
No works do in my place, the company can pay of $24mil in debt with cash they have lying about but can't pay bonuses or pay for xmas nights.
