hi everyone, i have a corsa sport in red, mint interior, very clean car, just had 12 months mot an 6 months tax an the day after the engine started to knock !! its only done 63k an full service history, i havent got the time to fix so whats it worth people, still runs an drives just with a knock now and again





not the best pics but you get the idea

ps, also comes with 5 x 15" sxi alloys !

What Ak said, if it's a bottom end knock, it's worth what you can get for the bits/shell, doe's look very clean etc though!

Just source a cheap engine, can get them for 100 notes ish.

Im sure theres someone off here local to you that could fit cheap.

i know can get a engine for 120 but i havent got the time to mess around with it as i already have a new car, an i find it slly people offering 50 quid etc as 250 would sort it an the cars worth 1200 imo with 12 months mot 6 months tax

get the engine swapped and sell it. its not worth a hell of a lot with a bottom end knock.

why ask then....

I wouldnt buy the car to 'simply' just fit another engine. Nothing is ever simple.

If (you think) its worth 1200 you are being daft not fitting a new engine to get the money!

250 would sort it No labour rates there then.

why not drop the sump down and put a set of shells in it? id be doing that before putting an engine in it

Plan will only cost £70 as well, big end shells £20, main cap shells £35, rod bolts £15

... so you wouldnt bother cleanign the crank up?! Or popping new gaskets on the sump... or checking the rods?

better off filling the engine with nice think oil and sawdust to quieten it down.... jobs a good un
