You will need to call them before hand and tell them that you are going to want 7K cash and they will get it ready for you, you will also need 2 forms of photo ID

Go in and ask for £7k. Give them your bank card, put in your pin and watch the lady count the money out and give it to you.

Anything over 2k usually requires you to give the bank notice.

I've been into the Burnham Branch in the high street and got 5k out just by putting my card in the machine and she counted it out.

You probably know this is a tiny Natwest as well Jambo, so 7k shouldn't be a problem

If the bank has a business counter they will have more than enough to serve you, its down to branch manager disgression really.

You don't need to ring ahead. It just makes life easier for them and stops the risk that you may have to wait whilst they open the safe. Most cashiers will have more than £7k in one of their drawers most of the time. And yes, I work in a bank.

If you walk in with a shot gun, then they normally give it to you on the spot...

Most banks will ask you to phone in advance to order the money.. I'm with halifax and last time I wanted a large amount of cash £4k was the most I could take out without giving 24 hours notice.
