Supposed to be fantastic as a drying aid and to enhance the look of your wax.

Depends what you are using it for I'd say.
imo it's a great product, and I don't say that due to being a D.A.D, I say it because I use it day in day out; it's pretty much the only protection on my van atm as I've resorted to cleaning it near enough every other day in the dark with TFR
The older non tropical version cures extremely quickly, even in these damp colder conditions; simply spray 1 spritz on the panel and buff straight off, no need to wait for it to dry etc, and even though you do 1 spray at a time, can do a whole car in 5 - 10 mins.
The newer tropical one is slower drying, but still uses the exact same principle, but is just in general a bit easier for noobies to use.
It should only be used as a maintenance spray after quick washes when you don't have time to apply another wax coat or cba, or after a full detail to remove any remaining product sprays and to add further bling to the finish.
Using it any other way and I can see why you don't like it as it's not a true quick detailer imo, it is classed as a spray sealant quick detailer.
If you want a drying aid, Dodo do a dedicated one called time to try, or use a normal QD. If you want a clay lube, Dodo's dedicated one is born slippy, or again use a normal QD (Bilt Hamber clay can be used with just water)
HTH in some way!

I love the stuff. Its goes on really nicely due to being quite oily and leaves great results. However I think to get anything like decent results from a QD you need to have well prepped paint in the first place.

I use it in between washes and it's very easy to use. Keeps the car looking good and aids the beading from the wax. Much better than swissvax nano express that I used to use. Cheaper also.
