ah ok then.

it did feel faster on the 99 ron, picked up better from low rpm. made it smoke quite a lot though and the cat smelled eggy so decided to change to 95 ron.

I own a Audi 1.8T and I was looking on the audi sport website. Audi recommend running 98ron because that is what the factory map is intended and running 95ron just makes the car sluggish/reduces mpg.

After experimenting, its very true. On 95ron, my car does feel sluggish. Put a tank of 99 in there and there's a distinct difference so it goes to prove the point audi made about the cars being mapped to 98.

Oh yeah, apparently tesco's 99 is bad for engines with a compression ratio above 9:1 due to carbon deposits around the valves.

Only car ive ever had to run on super was my impreza, and only because 95 made it misfire & could have caused k-boom.

M3 drinks Asda's finest & is no different.

mine is mapped on 99 ron so have to use it.

i can notice a difference between tesco 95 and shell v power
