As above guys..
My Corsa's on ebay for sale...
BUT one of the listed problems is that the boot strut has broken off.
Its ripped the balljoint clean out of the chassis, and the hole has gone bigger / funny.
Is there a quick fix for this so i can fix it and add to the auction?
Thinking if i do little bits like this, it might make an extra little bit on there!
I've a new Ball thing, and a new strut.
Not sure what caused it but i basically need a way of holding the ball thing on there!
Cheers
David

Could you tap out the hole and use a bigger thread ball?

I don't have the tools to do so - I'm basically looking for a 'bodge' so to speak...
Just really so the boot holds up, I'm fixing the ashtray and so on so i might aswell do this..
I used that Quiksteel stuff, but it broke back off!..
I have Quyiksteel, Araldite, bit kinda need to like.. wedge it in then glue it i suppose...
Just looking for suggestions really lol

Not advertising the car on here are you
Could try sikaflex, not designed for this but may work as a quick fix.

The best permanent but fairly cheap fix would be to helicoil it.

If you have a drill the helcoil kit is about £15-20 and contains everything you need.

Remove the insert and replace it with a new insert.
