I have just put my c20xe into my gsi, wired it all in and it wont start. It turns over but wont fire up, all the plugs are sparking but nothing. i didnt connect up the airflow meter or lambda and th exhaust isnt yet on but the manifold is. any ideas guys?

it'll need the afm plugging in
have you got an eml light when you first turn it over?
Have you wired in the ignition live for the ecu from the engine bay?

yes the eml comes on with the ignition. and the earth is wired up 2. its als making a bit of a knocking noise when turning it over but nt sure if its the starter motor making the noise?

The knocking noise is probably the compression as there is no exhaust. The C20XE will run without AFM but will idle very high. Not sure it will run without a Lambda though!
As said eliminate all the obvious things first! also check if there is any fuel/pressure in the fuel rail!

put the exhaust on today and plugged in lambda and afm and still no joy  and yes it is recieving fuel coz the plugs are piss wet through... any more idea's am stressin out ere lol!

check security alarm if your corsa have a smart key it may be not work until u check the security system

Just a sugestion right butt but i had my corsa like that before right, I drove it down to my workturned it off, went to start it back but i want start. I had fuel coming through but want start changed quite alot but then my noticed that it was the ECU I ent saying that its that but cold be

yer i had problems with my ecu aswell and it wasnt startin, stuck a new ecu in and magic! you got the rite ecu for the rite engine? like coilpack or dizzy!?
