For - less susceptible to disease, less chemicals and pesticides required to grow, more efficient use of land and fuel to harvest.
Against - long term disease effects are mostly unknown, oversupply to the market, ethical issues.

For's - same as Ian for me really
Against - surely the people who grow them can alter the supply, thereby seeing the current problems we have with the Saudi's and oil prices?
