if you really want to dispatch Christmas presents to millions of people all over the world - or, indeed, cope with today's predicted £17million-an-hour online shopping bonanza - then you need an operation like this.

Jesus Christ, theres some mental facts on that article!!

You forget how huge these operations are, when all you're doing is clicking BUY and then typing some numbers in to pay for something.

Didn't see it . It's mental that, the warehouse above is just Milton Keynes. Imagine their American / Japanese warehouses.

They would be massivly fucked if a fire broke out in there!!

It's only down the road from me. It's fucking enormous. The John Lewis depot near there is just as big too.

Read this in the paper the other day - really good read.

Makes sense how they have items 'scattered' around the warehouse, rather than having the warehouse sorted into books/dvds/cds/consoles/etc.

There is a huge warehouse of their's just outside Swansea too. I ordered a book for uni through them, it was soaked and damaged when it arrived so I drove down there and the fuckers told me it had to be posted back to them for security reasons

as someone else said, its mental when you think you just click on a box on the net then it arrives. some poor person has probaly walked a mile just to go get your cd and put it into shipping.

wonder what the call of duty section looked like a couple of days before release? i imagine they sold a lot.
