My mate is looking to lower his 206 however, it's tortion bars at the back instead of springs, and springs at the front.
How easy is it to lower? And is it even possible? And what would you need to do it?

You can lower them at the back...how is it not possible?

He got a quote of £260 from demon tweeks, and that supplying all the parts, but by te sounds of it doesn't sound like I can do it, so just send it there me thinks

daymoon - Of course it's possible! It's not actually that hard to do and as Simon has said check out 206info, there's a few "how to" guides on there

Well I normally search google first before posting and normally come up with things of no relevance, so thought I'd ask people who might of had some experience with this, but sorry for any offence mate

its a bastard if its seized mate was suposed to do it to my saxo but never got the chance to do it, but round by me they do it for like 80 quid as low as you want it

Never done it myself but there is a right and a wrong way as far as I am aware. both have the desired effect but one fucks the beam.

well i had a little go myself and i was gonna try the bolt and socket way ya tighten and its suposedf to pull it out

I did my 106, it took me a fair bit of time to do due to the fact that one of the bolts wasnt gonna give.

correct.
doing it in 'clicks' fucks the rear beam where as doing it the other way using slide hammers and tape measures and just twisting it as far as i know is the best way to do it.
never done it myself but watched my two saxos being done

Erm I did by clicking it and it was fine afterwards. The ream beam was spot on and I never had an issue.

alot cheaper though and for what they are you cant fault em. Handle well


Bit snappy on the limit but thats due to the saxo been half the lenght of the civic I think.

debatable ( im not looking for an arguement ).

Some classic cars that have won rallys used torsion bar suspension

Didnt the VW beetle use torsion bar suspension?

Fitipaldis F1 Lotus championship winning car used torsion bars but i still prefer rear springs
