Did I bother coming into work on a snow day...
I had about 3-4 inches of snow, roads looked icy and shit... but because people (at my work about 30 miles away) said it was fine, I thought ok i'll brave it.
Rear wheel drive, with LSD and bald tyres = shit in snow and ice. Car crabbed the whole way.
Had to be pushed up some slight inclines a few times because i got stuck with no traction.
And worst of all...
I'm now sitting in my office, where I could of been sitting in my pants in bed.

By people
- There was this one, I practically gave up... was trying to tell the people behind to go past... Then some helpful chaps pushed me out while saying 'get a real car'
- Thing is, it's the LSD which is bad news, my 106 gti with the LSD was the same, it basically means I instantly lose traction on both wheels as soon as i accelerate and so, then I end up going sideways rather than forwards.
You just end up crabbing down the road.
In the s2000 you just feel like you're in some detroit muscle car, you squeeze the throttle, car goes sideways in a straight line, you let off the throttle and it snaps straight again ... must look cool as fuck to people behind

I think my tyres are bald, which doesn't help... plus they're wide 245's - which if rallying teaches me anything in snow / ice, thinner tyres are better for extra pressure on surface.

im think im a bit childish however, as whilst down the lanes people are doing 10 miles an hour i was getting to empty juctions and using the handbrake to drift a combo at about 60 degree's

What gets me is that I drove 11 miles to work this morning, 50% cross country on barely salted roads. I made it just fine.
The people who live a mile from the office (and could actually walk, though it might take a while) just stay at home all day and nothing gets said.

Same happened here earlier this year. Now if they don't make it in they don't get paid.
