I have a EC250 GasGas 2001 that is in need of a new piston kit, I have been offerd some money from someone localish to buy the bike as it sits, what do you guys think the bike is worth in the current state?

Im in no rush to sell the bike tbh or id be happy to keep the bike and slap a new piston in as its a rare bike as it is but i have been looking to change bikes for next year something newer (cr or yz)

Thanks.

not worth much - 500-700 quid private sale. garage will probably give you 500 for it.

Piston, gaskets, coolant and a new sparkplug should come to under £90 and cost about £60-£80 to fit if you dont feel confident to do it yourself. Would be worth £1000+ then.

Although if you have seized it, its going to need a barrel honing and matched piston so could cost double in parts quite easily
