right on my way to work this morning i arrived at a brige at bottom of 2 hills either side, low on behold at least 5 or 6 vehicles all stuck. I drove past and put the window down and spoke to a man that had been there since 7.30am this was 8.30am. Told him i didnt have a rope sorry

So headed to work and thought i will go into the first farm where i know the farmer, go in and get a rope.

head back to said bridge and started to pull people up the hill.

When i jumped out the pickup i saw a phone lying in the snow under my tyre tracks. picked it up but was knowones who was there so put it in my pocket.

Got all the cars up the hill and was offered no money for my kindness from any of them, best was a pint from the first guy who is not a very nice man (buisness man/crook/prick) only realised who it was when he was at the top of the hill and said who he was would have left him at the bottom had i known.

So get to work an hour late and try turning the mobile on and it works

So the dilema after my good will do i continue and phone home on the mobile or bin the sim and keep the phone?

Would be my first question. If it's a heap of crap, look through it for Mum, Brother etc, or just most recent calls, phone them tell them you've got the phone.

If it's better than yours then Merry Christmas

I had a similar dilemma recently, found a wallet with loads of cards and £50 in it, did the right thing and handed it in to my boss ( I found the wallet in one of our courtesey cars) and the guy never even thanked me, no reward or anything. Makes me think twice about doing the right thing again.

Exactly, I thought of that at the time, but as it's so close to Christmas and someone might need it I thought I'll do the good thing and hand it in. Ungreatfull prick.

He picked it up from our reception, the receptionist told him I found it in the car he just used, he even walked past me on the way out.
