Well I had a brown pant moment in my 18 tonne lorry the other day and thought i'd share.

Finished my deliveries early and decided to go home for lunch on the way back to the depot for my 45 min break. I just drove into my street and its a small curve to the left in front of 2 cottages before the straight up my street.

I was travelling no more than 20mph as there were guys monoblocking one of the cottages driveway and its the first time i've ever hit black ice.

The lorry just went straight on throught the guys 6ft hedge into his garden and throught his driveway wall

I thought it wasnt gonna fookin stop, it just went through it like a hot knife through butter. Deffo opened my eyes to the amount of weight those lorries carry and the damage they can cause. Been driving like miss daisy since

I have pics of the incident and the lorry looks like feck all hit it but the guys garden looks like a bombs hit it. The thing is his TVR was parked in the garage at the end of the driveway thank fuk

jesus rodney. that could have been nasty. ive seen many lorries crashed in the last few days.

I shit ma breeks mate lol, the guy that was monoblocking ran a mile when I got out to look at the damage.

Couldnt believe how easily it just ploughed though. I thought once it hit the wall it would stop but it just kept goin till the tyres caught a rut of gravel and bounced back into the road. The wing mirror smashed into the passing telegraph pole on the way out the garden lol.

Bloody hell sounds bad!, my dad said the other night he was going round a roundabout in his 44ton tanker, and he looked in his mirror and could read the writing on the tank, as it was jack knifing , and trying to overtake him, but he managed to recover it.

3663 lorry aint it it eck i can imagine how that felt i was trying to do donuts in an 18t chassis (no box on it so very light ) at work the other day on the ice was fun
