ive seen these turbo manifolds on ebay and was wondering if my standard c20xe could take a turbo set up with a t3 turbo on low boost using c20let set up e.g. top hat intercooler and so on...???
i only want a little power increase not massive 190-200bhp would be nice

you can build a let based on a xe block so why not, i think the xe blocks are meant to be better somehow? im sure the LET boys will be along to confirm...

C20LET Is the Better Block For Less Engine Noise As It Has Better Noise Reduction Casting, But In Terms On Strenth Both Blocks Are Pretty Much Equal.

If you just put the turbo and manifold on an C20XE it will go kaboom.

its bein done with a very thick head gasket to lower compression

you wont get compression low enough. no doubt the head would have a fair amount taken off it anyway so compression would be higher than a stock XE.
need pistons, loom, ecu etc to make it work.
and comment based on building a LET from an XE block is usually becasue people put rods, pistons, decent spec head, turbos, tubular manifolds and standalone management.
just buy an LET as 200bhp your looking for isnt worth the effort.
and you could put a turbo on an xe, and 'maybe' run about 5psi, but not worth it as need to still sort the fuelling out and probably be a dog to drive
