San Carlo, King St South.
Cafe Istanbul, Bridge Street.
Both are amazing.

Cafe Istanbul has already been recommended by a friend who lives down that way and must say having checked out their menu it certainly looks an intersting option.
What would it be like trying to get a table on a Friday evening?

We are regulars at San Carlos In Bristol, and that was the first restaurant that sprang to my mind.
Top drawer.....We even had Christmas dinner there this year

I live probably about 5 mins walk from both San Carlo and Cafe Istanbul (actually more like 2 mins tbh), and they are both my regulars and both amazing restaurants. Considering I eat out a lot Id say they are easily the two best places I have ever been for both the taste of the food and the service.
On a normal Friday you'd get a place if you book that week (presuming it isnt a special date). Cafe Istanbul is smaller than San Carlo though so will fill up faster, but then again San Carlo is more or less Italian so more popular (and got one of the best names in the City).

Panacea is decent. I enjoyed the meal at that restaurant inside the 235 casino too, I forget the name.
