Don't have a clue, i've only ever had cambelt changes done when engines are being replaced

Oh Dropped into a garage and told it sounds like its started fraying, but to do anything at all to the engine it has to be dropped out = BIG JOB

If it's fraying i'd say it should go in under warranty if its done less miles than the suggested change.
