Basically sick of 2k not running games so want a Win9x/Win2k boot.

Fine pretty easy, trouble is i lost 98 so resorting to Win95.

ive got to formatted fat32 partition c:60gb, d 20gb.

ive already installed 2k to the d partition.

But now i cant seem to install Win95 to the c partition. Says invalid something. I dont think it likes the 32 format. Says i need a dos one.

How do i actually reformat it to a dos partition.

Now a dos person are you may gather

You should re-install Windows 2000 and stop playing silly games that only run under Win 9x.

I`ve never tried a dual boot configuration with windows 95. Im not entirely sure if windows 95 supports a FAT32 file system, i know you definately cant do a dual boot install with NTFS, can you not get hold of 98? and do a win2000/98 dual installation?

the latest version of win95 supports fat32. u can get software to manage different OS's. If you can get VMWARE this will work perfectly you can even make it run alongside linux, and 3.11

Steve thats not the problem though.

Ive fdisked already.
So ive got the 60gb for Win95/98. And ive got 2k now installed on the later 20gb.

foolishly i formatted them both to fat32(now NTFS on the other) and and shes gone tits up.

Initially i thought 95 would just boot from the cd rom but does it fuck

Supply is Q-tec 550w.
Board is Abit BE7 Raid. Which im really pissed off with tbh.

I wasnt Asus but i wasnt prepared to wait 2months for it to be lauched.

Still pulled 3100Mb/sec bandwidth. My mate got the asua and pulled 4.1ghz and 4100mb per sec bandwidth so the granite bay isnt that much better platform

95 supports FAT32, you need a win 98 boot disk and can install from CD ( 95 boot disk doesn't have CDrom drivers)
