I am currently working a 80 mile round trip and using a 3.0l Lexus GS300 Sport to commute! costing me absolutley shit loads......looking at a reliable motorway car that will cost me much less. I have 1 week to sort this....! Seen a J reg petrol 2.0 Honda Accord for £500 just for now but I am thinking VW golf or something, What do you all think?!

Any Suggestions?!

I have a Bora TDI but want 2.5k for it which is still a steal.

115bhp , 6 speed, metalic blue, all the extras aircon etc, 6 months tax, and can put 12 months MOT on as it will sale through

Personally, I'd steer away from VAG cars after my "cheap TDi" VAG experience

I've had a fabia and a toledo, fabia cost me nothing, toledo cost me a maf and a set of springs, both were 65k old, it's still going strong.

Dad's had 2 passat's and a jetta, all went fine and had no big problems, you just have to make sure you get a good one.

There are a lot of common problems, it's the same on any forum you go on though you rarely hear people saying how nothing has failed but there are daily threads about the parts that have.
