Happy New Year guys!
Just a quick question, will a 1.6 more or less drop straight into a 1.4 shell without any major modifications?

use the mounts from the shell not the engine unless both are 16v.

Hello there, I know that its been answered but thought that I would chuck a couple more in
The ECU DOES need to be changed, if the engine is taken from a post 1995 car (which it really should be!!) then you will also need the transponder for the immobilizer in the key.
If both engines are 16v then it is literally a straight swap over with little else to do, however if your going from a 8v to 16v then use the 16v engine mounts & wiring
