oh and for the extra bit of money i wouldnt fancy a cheap belt snapping and costing 16valves, guides, possibly a head of even worse holes in the pistons

Surprisingly everywhere I went charges LESS for a C20XE cambelt kit then an X14XE kit. Genuine Vauxhall Kit (gates) cost me £85.00 all in and pump was £35 all in. However that was using a discount to get it down to trade price.

Thanks for the the replies I did mean cheapest in price NOT quality.
Autovaux appear to be the cheapest: 1.4 16v timing belt kit £59.50
philip2 - LMF do 2.0 16v cambelt kits for £53.50
Did I read somewhere that there is a suspect batch of brand new water pumps not seating properly when fitted and leak?
Cheers
