Im a bit confused, wonder if someone can help.
I go to do my LPC in Sept 2010
I understand the process, i just dont get the dates...
You complete your legal degree (LLB)
You complete your LPC (vocational pretend to be a lawyer while still at uni year)
You commence your training contract, spend 2 years as a trainee and become a solicitor
- So when would the TC start 2011, yes?
Thanks
Marc

2011 yeah, if you can get one! You sure its not 3 years training contract with tiered payments? Can't quite recall just thought it was 3.

3 years in uni (LLB)
1 year in Law College (LPC)
2 year Training Contract - You also have to do a 2 weekish PSC course during your TC.
TC is usually 4 x 6 month seats with one of those being contentious/non contentious depending on your area of law.

All the above are full-time years studying. Obviously if you do them part-time it will be longer.

I don't envy you having to shell out for the LPC, just shows how elitest a field it is. My girlfriend is looking at doing it part-time whilst working as a paralegal in the hope that she might get a training contract through here employer as they are a really good people based employer. A lot of her friends from uni are really struggling to get training contracts at present and alot are very bright individuals.

Mine is a 4 year sandwich course, 1 year placement, does this mean that I have to do the same process?
