My company and various others have refused to pay people if they find out stuff like that.

But if they stay in the same area (potentially streets away) then surely if one person made it, another could?

Yep a place closer to work could have twice the snow of a place further away

Me and an aprentice are in and a guy that lives 2-3 miles in the next town is off
I think people have opened their curtains this morning and thought fuck it

Here you go, a pic of my drive in the snow
I couldn't even move my car from where its parked as it just spun. Even if I did get it down the drive the road at the bottom is just as bad. And I certainly wouldn't get back up the drive again!

Exactly, people have different circumstances. My mate lives near the main road which are nice and clear but he can't get off his driveway, he's been away and it has iced up and it is on a slope.

Exactly, a couple of weeks ago when we last got snow, I got barely any but a bloke from only a couple of miles away (Finstock) had loads.

At my old company they had a scenario where people said they couldn't make it in, so my boss jumped in the pool car and picked them up The ones taking the piss were in a foul mood for the rest of the day

Ha ha you'd be gutted if you were skipping off and he rocked up. Busted!
My boss wouldn't be able to get here, he is a clot of a driver to start with normally and is in a 5 series BMW. We've had to push him out of the work car park in the past when it snowed whilst at work
