sold my car yesterday, sent the logbook off yesterday also, the guy txt me just asking for the number on top of the v5 so he can tax it..

tbh not sure what i can do, can i get it from anywhere or is the case of him waiting for the logbook?

he takes the new keeper slip to the post office with MOT and insurance and they will give him a tax disc.

Take new keeper slip, MOT & insurance docs to a post office & tax.
Simple as.

i went to a post office with a new keeper supplement and they were fine with it

If he does it online the tax will not go to the new owners address, it will still be in your name so it's a chor having to forward it on, might get lost in post etc.

Just tell the lad to use new keeper slip and go to the post office.

btw he only lives about 10mins away so he has already said when he got the car if the tax comes here he will just collect it..

He cant do it online until the keeper change its processed, other wise you will get the new tax disc.

like i said hes only 10mins away so he can easily collect it when it comes here..

anyways just got a txt saying hes sorted it..
