Oil light kept coming on when i braked earlier so poped the bonnet. WTF, how has the oil cap disapeared?

Could this have caused my damage?

i had the same problem
with my old 1 ltr corsa it'd come off every now and then no idea why so went to scrappers n got a few replacements still got em

go to the dealers and ask for a 710 cap, then top up the oil and bobs your uncle
