I'm wanting a nice new header tank for the corsa when the engines goes in Obviously you can get them from Vauxhall but I was just wondering if anyone knows anywhere on the web you can buy them from? I'm sure i've seen people post saying they can be got quite cheap but I can't find them.

possibly try autovaux?

sometimes if you put them in the dishwasher, they come out looking fairly new if you want to try that for a cheaper alternative first?

sounds like an old wives tale. Try 1/4 tbl spoon off BBQ sauce and half a water melon.

How rough does rice become in water? Might have some scrubbing effect.

Why? You put horrible chemicals in the dish washer to clean the plates? Whats wrong with a bit of water and some methanol?

Expansion tank, not sure on price but unless yours is bust then you can actually clean yours to make it look new by simply removing it soaking it in hot water then filling it with rice. yes rice! basmati whatever it doesnt matter but the rice acts as an abrasive and if you shake it about the rice will remove that rusty shit from within. I takes some patience but believe me it will come out mint!!! make sure you get it all out when done before fitting!

but if you put rice in water it goes soft. you'd need the water not to be in the header tank to do as above.

what about leaving the header tank attached and plumbed into the car, putting rice in it as it is. run engine for a few days and it should self clean itself?
