It can vary.

Fire up some links to the over-priced 1s.

Your saying they are over-priced,yet you are asking the going rate??That makes no sense at all tbh.

I put my 1999 1.6 Sport with XE Conversion up for £2000.
It had £3k of reciepts, for conversion which was done by a garage, all the parts bought for it, and all the MOTs since the shell was new.

I got what i wanted for it.

On the otherhand my mate built a 95 1.2 Twist shell into an XE on the tightest budget possible, coming to about £700, sold it on for £900.

So it all depends what you want, you will get what you pay for.

£1k to £3k seems about right.

£1k being shitters and £3k being minters with quite a few tastefull mods id imagine.

Whats your budget and what kind are you looking for??Modded, standard etc.

You usually tend to get what you pay for, as with most things.

Go Check this 700quid one out- i know your mechanically minded so will know if its a shed or not. worth a try at that price- may be a good bargain.

Depends entirely on the car! You won't lose money if it's running well. As long as it has a good bit of MOT left, you'll be ok. I assume it's a base model with the engine stuck in?

Then you should get your money back + a bit of profit. As long as the mileage/condition of the engine isn't rough, and it's got a good bit of MOT, you're sorted. Then be a man and stick carbs on it.
