Righto, i'm off to Grindelwald in two weeks, can't wait! Was looking at booking another week later in the season. Was looking atlate april/early may. Only problem is, is it worth it at this time? I.e, so late in the season? Anybody go/been around that time??

Traditionally the ski season ends after the first or second week of April.

as said above, but some resorts do stay open til may.

im off to saint solin d'arves end if march cant wait either

usually go around january when the snow is billiant but couldnt make it this year

i like skiing end of march, its quite warm so you can get a tan too, and you dont freeze your balls off on the lifts

I'm out twice more this year; I was suprised in the Alps though this year, there doesn't seem to be as much snow as there was this time last year - regardless of the cold snap. I don't think it will be as long a season as the last two years - I'll get a photo to proove what I mean.

The 2009 photo is at the start of February last year, the 2010 is from the Start of January. so 4 weeks later in the year but they hadn't had fresh snow for 2 weeks when we arrived last year. This is exactly the same info board

you can see the difference as well with the height of the snow against the fence - look how much its buried in 2009
