im changing my ecu chip and transponder over i can get the ecu n transponder in place just cant see how i get the chip into my key is it something a main dealer has to do if not could someone please tell me how i can do it cheers

for some reason I read this "child help please", lmao.
open your key, it's a small black chip, take it out of the key and put the new chip in. It's VERY simple to do...

get a knife or something with a very flat edge and pry it open.

even a key...anything really, make sure to put the key chip back in the right way else the key won't close and you might damage it

yeah ecu easy but i just couldnt see how to open the key  so i just put the new chip in the same way the old one comes out?

yer, just put it in, all it is, is like...wireless internet, the ring that goes around the ignition barrel senses for this chip.
I heard only yesterday someone say they sellotaped their chip to their key...I don't know why they would do this but it made me laugh lol
