That's the problem, if you're not in direct danger, you're not allowed to touch them, but who wouldn't want to beat up some cunts that are trying to rob you? Anyone would because they deserve it

That's revenge though, that's not exercising a right to defend ones property. The irony of this case is that the burglar has escaped justice because of the revenge taken on him. He has been left a burden on the state though as he'll be in care for life.

I'd like to see anyone show restraint in that situation though.

He was hardly defending his property though was he. I have no problem with taking action in those circumstances, but forming a posse, hunting the guy down then battering him to fuck with blunt implements goes beyond 'reasonable force' don't you think?

oh, I thought he went after them right after the burglary, didn't read full story. Still, I'd want to take revenge on them. They're scum

and that all depends, Im sure most people would be pretty pissed off to not only be burgled but have themselves and their family tied up. Anything could have happened to them in that situation and let's face it, if we let it all run it's coarse and the police got the guy, he would get 6 months in jail. At least he won't burgle again

Correct decision in the end, if you aren't in someone's house without there permission then you deserve anything that's coming to you. END OF!

exactly. There was a crimewatch news story where several people broke into a property to steal car keys to a brand new audi TT. Several of the guys took the wife upstairs and raped her while the husband was held hostage downstairs.

Anything could have happened while his family were tied up, you would be so petrified in that situation and so fucking angry afterwards, who wouldn't want to take it upon themselves to dish out some form of revenge, cus let's face it, the punishment system doesn't seem to be working else it wouldn't happen.

A hero would have untied his wife and child and protected them, not left them tied in the kitchen while seeking revenge with his brother.

Well, to all you people saying you wouldn't take revenge, you would, in that situation.

If your partner and child was tied up while masked men were stealing your things, you would most likely want to harm the people doing it. Even after they escaped

You phone the fucking police then, that's what they're there for. You don't take the law into your own hands and expect to get away with it.
