he is going in the hospital at 8am to have one of his lungs removed he is only 10yo bless him

he was born with only one lung devoped, this lung is just made up of cists and if left could turn into cancer,
after having this op he has then got to go back to have metal rods put in his chest to pull his ribs out as they are sunk into his chest that will be the most painful op for him

sheff childrens hospital, iv got to take my mum in the morning as she wont drive to sheff i still dont know how to get there though even though my daughter was under them for 6 months an i had to go every few weeks

he has to be there early because they will have to do all checks before they can do the op, blood, temp, blood presure ect and i think they want to get him in early

It'll be a long operation and the chances are, theatre will be less likely to accomodate an emergency in the morning, plus they can operate, and monitor his recovery from waking up while major shift staff are on.
