ok currently i have a n reg 1.4 cs. i've looked at a few quotes on insurnce but it's going to be mad price until ive been driving a year (1 june 2010) churchill wont insure me as i havent been driving 1 year yet this is because they call it a quick hatchback. i do have 3 points from my ped and i do have 2 years no claims on a bike (2 year on 1st march)

i was just looking at getting a bag of shit car to get me around until june until i can get insured on my car. alot of friends think i should sell my corsa but it doesnt have tax/mot so i'd get fook all for it anyway. and i'd only want to have the same car in a few months tine anyway. anyone know a cheap car i could get? i'm after an old 1.2 8valve or an old clio or 106 etc. as long as its cheap to insure.

NCB cab't be transferred from bike to car, it sucks ass!!

I think my 1.4 16v Sport (P, so the same cr), was £1384 tpft on my first insurance at 18....

Old age does have some advanatages these days

I'd go with the corsa still. Don't just keep it though, unfortunatly its not worth it.

Either drive that, or sell it, and use the funds to get something else.

If you really like corsas, get a smaller engined one.

There's also the option of a 1l 12v. Any pictures of your corsa sport?

Your better off getting a 1.0 12v to be honest ! A 1.2 8v will cost you a stupid amount to run due to the way you have to drive it. Mine mpg was in the 20's when I had one, and that was when I drove sensibly for a full tank !

1.0 will be cheaper to insure too

In my 1 litre, when it works and doesn't give me problems, i can get 110 miles to a tenner.

thats a few pics on my fb when i first got it. apologies dont know how to load pics on here, the only real difference on it now is new grill and smoked depos

1 litre is a little dearer to insure actually. but if its cheaper in the long run then that would be ideal!

The 1l when driven sensibly, as said, can give back brilliant mpg. Depends what the difference is for the insurance tbh, how long your going to have it and how many miles you do each month.

Just whatever you do, dont get a 1.2 8v ! get a quote for the 16v too

Edit - Just done a quote for myself on 1.0, 1.2 8v and a 1.2 16v and all are the same price

As mentioned, 1.2 8v's are shit.

Get the 1l 12v or 12l 16v, you don't need a SXI if you're not using it for very long? Get any model.
