Im after another job but i cant find anything helpful. Ive been to the jobcentre and ive got as much chance fo finding a job there as i have if i sit on my arse on the sofa. The jobcente website is even worse. Ive uploaded my CV to Monster, Jobsite, etc and not heard anything worthwhile. Ive done the obvious google search and been through a good 20 pages of results and checked them all. So i was wondering how did you get your jobs? What are the best websites to look at for jobs?

I don't want to apply at an agency as i cant be bothered with being shifted around temporary contracts and a different job every other week.

P.S. Does anyone know of any jobs going in the Cheshire area? Im willing to do anything but i would love to work with cars (sales, valeting, repair, etc).

Edit: Thought id add a few details just to let you know what i can do.
10 GCSE's A*-C, 1 vocational qualification
Fully qualified mechanic with 4 years experience
4 years retail sales experience
Valeting experience
Painting/decorating/tiling/kitchen fitting/bathroom fitting/gardening/etc (no qualifications though)
Competant in most computer programs
I do have 3 points though so some driving jobs arent available to me
I can do pretty much anything practical

I would prefer to work Mon-Fri or Mon-Sat, days, full time, permenant job, anything more than minimum wage would be great

Ive also done that I spent a week handing out over 100 CV's and then spent the next 2 weeks chasing them up but i didnt even get a phone call back Forgot to add that ive done this quite a few times now. Ive been handing out CV's for about 4 years every month or so and then when i hear of a job come up i apply at that place again but still nothing.

Ye dont get me wrong im quite smart but paperwork and office work really doesnt interest me. I'm a lot better at practical things and enjoy working outdoors or stripping/building things. So being a mechanic was my dream job as i love cars and love working on them plus im smart enough to diagnose things pretty easily. I was looking at uni but the course wouldnt have got me any further in my career but would have given me a massive debt. I even enquired into joining Subaru rally team which was 6 years in Oxford only to earn the same as a main dealer and work more unsociable hours.

Pride doesnt pay the bills. £800 a month from maccies is better than £200 a month from the dole.
