Ive pritty much got my heart set on one of these as my next car.
I dont no that much about them realy so do any of you guy know much about them? Problems to look out for ect ect.
I went looking at one today, i loved it and have got a test drive booked for next week, but i want to have a much better look round it so need some advice on what to look for.

i haven't heard of any problems with them really.

i had a look at a vxr today to, in all honesty as much as i love them, you get alot more car with the megane
astra could still be in the pipeline though.

Only negative I have heard is the driving postition, but its all a personal thing
I was thinking of getting one too, lots of car for the money
I think some come with LSD's iirc

Those don't have the LSD but still decent cars. Cheap as well these days.

Sorry to dig this up but just seen this..
They are a FANTASTIC drive for a FWD car.. Even the standard shopping trolley Megane is a great drive, Renault seem to be pretty good at designing chassis but sadly they still have the relability of a parachute made from bog roll on a rainy day

The whole range suffers from card key and electric window problems along with various other random electrical faults.
Most of the petrol range are affected by crap coils.
Basically the typical french car problems

Pains me to say this but I think the R26 is probably a better choice, its faster for a start, just doesn't look as good

If i didnt have my sensible hat on, i would have purchased one of these. Was a mint 13k white one with recaros going for silly cheap when i was looking at cars.

Amazing, gut that owns my local tuning place owns one, off top of my head its got bigger turbo, intercooler and remap, maybe more, about 280bhp, and 340off ft/lb of torque.
This is the one with only 2 seats, cage, and plastic windows yeah? Or is that a different one, thats the one he has.
