how fast something looks is different from driving it though. probably the reason why there are so many written off saxos, corsas etc

just saying if you are planning on putting a 1.8 in, i personally wouldnt bother and just go for a xe..

depends what you want i guess..

cheaper just go for bike carbs..

can you roughly tell me how similar in price an 1800 conversion would be to an xe on tb's conversion into a corsa please?

warren posted up a video of his 1.8 on tbs so i was just saying about going for an xe over it..

not sure how much the 1.8s are but i know warren was selling a 1.8 engine for a pretty penny before..

xe on bike carbs wouldnt be much to do.. (not for a engine conversion anyway)

as said a friend of mine (has a thread up on novaload)

has bought many decent xe engines for 200/300, the bike carbs etc cost him £250 all in..

fitted them himself and had it setup for £75 (where thegsi takes his car)

like i said quite cheap for the gains your getting..

how do you make the carbs work with it being an injection ecu on the engine originally?

nah its not. i built an xe on carbs in a nova about 10 years ago. its not as simple as that mk4 boy seems to make out. i mean its not hard, just id listen to people that have done conversions and engine work instead of people just name dropping and posting to look good without a clue
