hello i have a corsa gsi i been building since may, and im in two minds what colour to have the car originally was white but was resprayed in Cupra Blue, but my modifying ideas seems to be subtle etc by using OEM parts, the two colours i have in mind are Ford Focus ST Orange or Caribic Blue, i need to make up my mind as the engine will be painted the same as the body, i love ST orange and thats what my dads going his firebird, ive done a photoshop of one in orange and i think it looks rather nice but is it too OTT with OEM style?
the wheels will be vectra rims maybe graphite or black but what do you think i should do.. be different and go orange or stay subtle and go caribic blue???
Cheers Opinions welcomed

I love the orange (without bad boy bonnet IMO), even though it'll be crying out to be keyed by some jealous cunt.

It is a bit over the top for OEM style, but with GSi's beoming quite rare now like that i thnk it would be a good idea to make it stick out.
Id have GSi wheels on it too if it were mine

If your painter can get it finished in the exact ST Orange then go for it,looks nice in the pics.
There was an ST Orange V6 Corsa doing the rounds up my way,not seen it for a while tho.Think it was also in TV a good few years back.

iirc ST Orange isn't all that straight forward to get looking any good as it has several different layers (am I right there Tom?!)
Personally not a massive fan of it, but could look pretty good with subtle styling. I'm really liking greys atm lol.

st orange is a 3 stage paint so:-
basecoat, think its gray colour
then orange coat so you can still see the shimmer of grun under it
laquer!
so its not a simple colour to paint so could be pricy!

my dad painted his engine on the firebird, and came out good the guy who will be painting it does custom painting for dragsters etc and his work is great your right theres loads of ingrediants for that colour, and the base coat is an orange primer with st orange on top and the laquer,
