Is there anyway I can open the car with out the use of a brick?

I've heard you can rip the lock/barrel bit out of mk4 doors. Would need fixing again, mind. Maybe do it on the passenger side.

still can't get in coat hanger isnt long enough to reach the seat and couldnt press down hard enough on the door release either no keys car phone or wallet for me then

I remember on my brothers old corolla we took the rubber seal off the back window and lifted the glass out, then opened the door and put the window back in... could u not do something like that?

was thinkin if its a 5 door could take the little window out on the back door.... although being a 3 door, get a screwdriver on the rubber seal of the back window, n prise it off, then gently remove the window.

can still do it with a 3 door, just means taking the full window out rather than the little 1 on the door
or...
Taken from another website, some1 had the same problem as u with the same car...
"right managed to get these blasted keys out. bent door back, coat hanger and managed to clip the keys out. needless to say the door is bent but i had to bend it back into shape."
