Morning all!
Feel like utter rubbish today and really don't feel I should be at work.
However the other guy I work with has just gone home sick and is renowned for being a sick boy...
I cannot now go home because we are already a man down. Do I have any where to stand? There are 5 of us that do the same job and its not busy at the min either.
Cheers

I'm sure that legally you are allowed to go home, it just might piss people off.

I'm not bothered about pissing people off, i'm not exactly in a good mood either to be dealing with schools etc on the phone lol.
I think i'll man up just before lunch

Being sick on colleagues usually helps! My last job I dislocated my shoulder, was in tears and they wouldn't let me go unless I could get someone to come and cover my shift as we were busy. I nearly passed out with the pain a couple of times!

Start coughing in the managers face and telling them you think its really contagious as have given it all your family so far.
He'll soon send you home.

As long as you inform them you're going they can't stop you

For about an hour before a nurse came to the bar who was the one who told me it was dislocated and had a word with the manager!
Couple monthss before I left that job, I had a bad fall on the horse just before my shift, badly bruised my pelvic bone and hip and had small fractures there and to two ribs. Did an 8 hour shift at work before I went to hospital. Couldn't walk like and sat in tears most the shift!

I may jsut man out the rest of this day and call in sick tomorrow instead... May as well make a holiday of it!
If i was in severe pain like you Lynny, I wouldn't care if I had cover or not!

Or just selfsign yourself off. You dont NEED permission off your manager to go home you make the decision. You dont say "Can i go home im ill" You say, "Im going home, im ill"
