my ecu is reading this fault code
85 Immobiliser Wrong signal
will it read this code if my cobra alarm imobiliser has a problem or will it only raed codes from the cars wiring loom my car has a imobiliser aswell so i am not sure witch one is broken

the car wont start and wen i checked it was because there was no spark

Chip definitely in the key? Also check the immoboliser ring / reader hasnt come un-plug.

thats wat av been told av checked it all and av gt a non imobilised ecu on its way from vauxhall spares but i am not sure whether its the same plug as an imobilised one or not

i was at a junction and i put my foot down to pull away and then let it off coz there wasnt room to pull out and it just stoped

i doubt its the immoboliser... Check your crank sensor hasnt come lose, also check the connector on the coilpack.

it doesnt have a crank position sensor and i have checked all of the plugs and connections

I had similar problems when I had an engine change, was fucking about with different ecu's had 3 in end, and developed new fault first thing electriam said to me was sometimes they can loose the code through no aparant reason, that wasn't my problem anyway so don't know how true it was, i would phone one up and see what he says, will only cost £40 to re=programme if it needs doing.

have you checked the rotor hasnt eaten its self? Also check that the module on the bottom of the dizzy hasnt come un-plug.

checked all of that bt the fault code says its the wrong signal so it must be that

Try running a wire from the earth point on the ecu, to the earth on the battery. I saw this on the allcorsaforum, seemed to work for a few who had changed engines, and had this sort of problem. Worth a shot, anyway.
