Parked in this car park, now found out it was private.. left my car for 5 mins.. came back and it was clampted!!
had to pay £100 there
Didnt have cash so had to pay via card, well my sis did..
it seemed abit dogey.. because he had a card machine with him
The company was called premier parking solutions (http://www.premierparkingsolutions.com/)
I asked for i.d and he had it...
then I asked for a number, he was stuttering.. then showed me a sign in the car park
so annoyed, but at the end of the day I shouldnt of parked there

Never had to deal with it myself but from everything I've heard before, they're able to charge what they want if you're on private land - kind of have their own rules and laws atm. I believe that is meant to change though.
He may have been a noobie on the job if he didn't know the number. If he had a card machine and sign written van etc I would say he is more legit than some guy in a yellow jacket saying he'll take your car away unless you cough up the cash tbh.

Should of told him to do one and then you should of gone back later with a jack, balljoint splitter and a socket set.

So what happens if you cant pay it there and then, would they just take your car and charge you silly money for it to be held untill you pay?

But on a serious note, that's pretty crap.

Yup pretty much, and charge you absolutely extortionate fee's per day for holding it! Plus the massive fee for towing it away.
Can get right royally fooked over by them!

I remember it being on watch dog and a guy had this car taken and because he cpuldnt afford it, the fines at time of recording it was £14,000.
He said it would be cheaper to go buy a new car and get his one scrapped

What would happen if you pulled a grinder with carbon disc out of your boot and started to cut through it? Just wondering. It's total bullshit that they could do that.

They can't legally enforce the fines so don't see how they can do it with the clamp, I'd be invoicing them for a damaged wheel.
