when you're undoing a pedal on your bike thats a bit stubborn so you put all your weight on it then slam your thumb in to the dirty oily chain ring when it suddenly loosens up I swear I've gone down to the bone, it fucking kills

I know 1st time I've done that whilst changing pedals. 10 seconds before I did it I was looking at the chain ring thinking I really dont want to slip on to that then it happened
All because I wanted Black pedals instead of Silver ones

thats why i made my own pedal spanner with a longer handle to avoid this, plus with it been longer they dont stay stubborn for much

Didn't stop me from going out for a ride tonight. Still a bit of black oil/shit in there, guess I better try clean it up a bit more

I doubt we even did 10 miles. We were just doing laps of a really steep hill that has a few different bits of single track/old downhill track to bomb down. So spent most of the time going up and down little loops rather than doing much in the way of distance. It was quality!

Did you swear at the time, or go very quiet because for a second you thought you might have lost a finger?

I was silent for a moment or so as it didn't hurt to begin with then a few seconds later I felt the pain and danced around shaking my thumb whilst swearing very loudly
