As some of you know from my previous thread, i had a bit of trouble with an Astra i bought but it got sorted out in the end.
Yesterday i bought this(not actual pictures of the car as its now been taken off the website and not had chance to get any yet)
2005 1.9 CDTi SRi 150 in Black with XP and Full heated leather interior.
Recent tyres all round and disks/pads.
So far no complaints, nice, smooth and comfy to drive with no rattles etc.
Future plans include:
DTUK Box(once i figure out which one and what to do with it)
Possibly sort the handleing out as its a bit boaty compared to the Clio 182, im thinking 30/30 eibach springs and RARB.
Colour coded front grille
Would love a VXR front bumper but rare as hens teeth and no doubt expensive when they do come up.
And finally....enjoy it

Green box is the best all rounder, can be had for about £120 quid off ebay, other boxes don't seem to be anywhere near as popular, it just plugs into the fuel rail.
I'm getting a rarb soonish, supposed to be good, I don't mind the height they sit as standard.
VXR bumpers seem to come up more often than you'd think and there's some dealer on ebay who does them cheap.
How much did you get it for?

Greenbox, ive heard of them, ill do a search and have a read up, i was expecting more around the £200+ mark so thats good, are they made by DTUK?
Heard good things about the RARB. Wasnt bothered about lowering it until i went out in my mates 888.
Been keeping an eye on ebay but none have come up in the last couple of weeks, think that dude your on about has some but he doesnt have actual pictures of them, only a generic one.
Its done 50k miles, paid £6900, slightly overpriced but they all are at the moment and i wasnt prepared to wait

for that price you got full leather, so i would say it was worth it, sign up to astra owners network if you havn't already and you will find plenty of things that can be added to the car for not a lot of cash like cruise control etc.

Really, ill have to check that out There is Astra Owners Club and Network, which is best?
Cheers John, Saves me making another post, ill have a look on eBay now. Ive read when setting it up you have to turn a dial a notch and test it, if the car smokes or EM light comes on, turn it back, i dont fancy that

Tech 2 and £30 stalk for cruise control.
Glovebox cooling box is decent too...
Both cheap mods.
I'm after a standard grill for mine instead of the Irmscher grill I have now...

ECO3 can be had off DTUK for £250 delivered this month. So tempting.
John - I'm getting a slight flat spot at 2k revs mostly when cruising on motorways... Reckon its the EGR or swirl flaps? If I accelerate through it it doesnt happen. Only happens when say in 6th gear doing 70 ish at 2k revs.

Swirl flaps maybe, try the foot on brake + accelerator then turn ignition on and see if you get any codes?
Unless you really want a brand new box I'd look on ebay, at least a couple a week seem to come up.

Done the pedal test and no error codes stored...as I said its only a slight hesitation/flat spot... doesnt really happen with the sport button on either?
How much do ECO3's go for on Ebay second hand?

I didnt know about this test, might try it out. The car doesnt seem to pull as well as the 120 8v i had before but maybe that just my imagination. The engine is also 'louder' than i expexted, especially at tick over/low revs but ive heard they are noisey engines anyway. Will cleaning out the EGR valve make any difference?
